Five times each year we have an outside judge attend our meeting to critique member images. Before the meeting members submit digital images in the following categories: Pictoral, Nature (or Nature Wildlife), Photojournalism, Photo Travel and a Special Topic for that month.  At the meeting the images are projected and the judge critiques each, specifiying strong points, suggested areas for improvement, and a score.  Award and Honorable Mention recognition is given to the best images in each category. These images are then re-projected and the makers tell how and where their image was taken.

Our club is a member of S4C (Southern California Coucil of Camera Clubs). Each month we send our best images to S4C to compete against the best images from other S4C clubs. These competitions help all members learn and improve their photography skills.
